Nice work - just odn't go scaring anyone with it Plastic or real, you know the cops will beat you down over it
So, I am going as a member of The Warriors, from the film of the same name, for Halloween. It is a rather plain costume really, so I needed a prop. I wanted a switchblade, since it is one of the prominent weapons used in the film, but switchblades are extremely illegal in Illinois, especially to carry. So I decided to modify a switchblade comb, and give it a plastic blade. Here is the result....
Turned out pretty good, and I gotta say, it is still pretty deadly even with the plastic blade.
So whatcha think?

It would be pretty funny to get busted for a modified switchblade comb. lol
BTW, I have removed the keychain holes since I took that picture.
nice little cutom job....if it was me i would've went the easy route and just brought a baseball bat with me
pretty cool, but you do know you can get real ones right? I bought some down in Florida. that one of yours looks pretty real though!
awesome, but why not a baseball bat?
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">A friend of mine has a weapons offense on record because of a cap gun. He and another friend were goofing around one night and somebody called the cops about gun shots... a cruiser pulled up behind them as they were strolling home... cops got out with guns drawn and did the whole "down on the ground" bit. The cops were livid and told basically told them they were fucking stupid to be carrying around a toy gun that looked real and that with any sort of confusion they could have been shot.Originally posted by TCM Hitchhiker:

My suggestion would be to leave it at home. All it takes is one person to report it because they thought it was real and the next thing you know you've got a cop's knee in you back.
y;know, if ya slip in a hairdresser;s straight-razor...
not that I'd know or anythiing.
